We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a metal fabrication organization in Pasadena, Texas on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This position supports core accounting activities by handling transaction processing, invoice coordination, data entry, and general financial administration with accuracy and discretion. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with detailed financial information, stays organized in a fast-paced setting, and communicates effectively across departments.

Responsibilities:
• Execute customer wire payments each day, including large-dollar transactions that require careful review and precise handling.
• Investigate freight-related charges, upload supporting documentation, and assign expenses correctly to the appropriate customer records.
• Enter import activity and other financial or operational details into accounting and internal business systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Provide administrative assistance for departmental processes, including gathering documentation, checking submitted information, and following up on outstanding items.
• Reconcile monthly expenses tied to international entities and help maintain accurate financial reporting records.
• Support compliance-related accounting tasks by organizing information needed for regulatory requirements and financial statement preparation.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and account reconciliation activities as needed by the accounting team.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and reviewing accounting data.
• Working knowledge of core accounting practices, including chart of accounts structure, expense coding, and financial data entry.
• Ability to manage sensitive and high-value transactions with discretion, accuracy, and accountability.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contacts.
• Experience supporting accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoice processing, or reconciliations.
• Familiarity with accounting platforms or ERP systems such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP is preferred.
