Assistant Store ManagerTaylor Stitch is a men's lifestyle company based in San Francisco that designs timeless, high-quality, sustainable clothing. We're known for exceptional customer service, both in our stores and online.Role OverviewThe Taylor Stitch Assistant Store Manager is an integral part of the success of our brick & mortar locations. In this role, you'll not only represent our brand and values in every customer interaction, but also take on a trusted leadership role on the sales floor — opening and closing the store, supporting the Store Manager, and helping guide the team in their absence. Our stores are vibrant hubs in San Francisco's most exciting neighborhoods, where we deliver world-class customer service in a friendly, casual atmosphere while driving top-line sales.Pay rate: $24-$26 + commission (estimated commission is $1,000 per month)This role is full-time, requiring availability at least 4 days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays, at our Valencia Street location.You'll:Actively greet and engage with every customerOffer customers polite and supportive guidance on style and fitLearn and apply extensive product knowledge to highlight the unique features and benefits of our productsCollaborate with the e-commerce customer service team to provide a seamless customer experienceHandle returns, exchanges, repairs, alterations, and customer concerns with care and understandingOpen and close the store in accordance with Company procedures, including handling keys and alarm codesOversee daily sales floor operations and support the team in the absence of the Store ManagerAssist with cash handling, register reconciliation, and end-of-day reportingSupport onboarding and coaching of new team members on sales techniques and product knowledgeMeticulously maintain a clean, well-merchandised store and stockroomAssist in maintaining accurate daily inventory for your storeAssist in managing clothing alterationsKeep the store dynamic, engaging, and exceptionally well-merchandisedWhat We're Looking ForPrevious retail or sales experienceExcellent attendance and punctuality practicesStrong sales and customer service skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated, proactive, and positive demeanor, with the confidence to lead by exampleAbility to work effectively with, and provide guidance to, a teamAbility to work weekendsAbility to stand for up to 8 hoursAbility to walk up and down staircases while carrying boxes, product, and other store-related itemsAbility to regularly perform store cleaning and maintenanceAbility to safely lift boxes up to 30 lbsComfort using laddersBonus Points If You...Have prior experience opening/closing a store or leading a shiftWhy You'll Love This RoleJoin a growing, values-driven brand at one of our most iconic San Francisco locations.
