Brown & Brown is looking for a Mail Room Clerk to join our team in Bethlehem, PA! Prepare materials/outgoing mail/packages for mailing including applying postage, preparing items for shipment or collection, distributing items as needed both in-house and to the post office, ensuring items are properly labeled and documenting data according to management guidelines. What You'll Do

• Open, stamp, and sort mail.
• Scan all incoming mail to appropriate person.
• Deliver and pick up mail and packages within the office according to established time frames
• Ensure that all mail and packages are properly labeled for mailing with correct postage utilizing automatic postage meter machines
• Pick up and drop off mail to post office
• Maintain supply orders, keep necessary records and completed forms
• Occasionally manage the reception desk/answer the phones and greet clients professionally
• Use hand or mail handling machines to address, seal, and stamp to outgoing mail.
• Pick up inter-office mail and deliver or mail accordingly to staff.
• Distribute all incoming faxes.
• Assist with coffee and tea service.
• Replenish paper in copy machines
• Organize copy room stations.
• Restock all office supplies throughout the office.
• Keep necessary completed forms and mail
• Keep mailroom area neat.
• Assist with data entry.
• Assist with projects as needed.

What You'll Need

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Must be computer proficient, excellent organization skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and the public
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20lbs
• Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse, on a constant basis 7-8 hours per day
• Must have excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to multitask

Preferred

• Previous experience in a mail-room operation, shipping, and/or receiving preferred
• Experience with utilizing online shipping services such as UPS Online
• Previous experience in answering and rerouting calls
